FlexPro – Daily Purpose Tool at Liebherr Testing Department

For more than 60 years, Liebherr's range of products and services has been broad and sophisticated. At the site in Ehingen, Liebherr develops and produces among other products mobile cranes. The range  of Liebherr mobile cranes extends from 35-tonne models to a heavy duty crane with a load capacity of 1,200 tonnes. Martin Sauter, testing department, shares his experience with FlexPro:

"We have been using FlexPro since the beginning of 2010. At that time we were using version 8 with a three-user network license. Since then, FlexPro has been used daily and has become better and more reliable with every update. Separate FlexPro licenses are also in use in other departments and are easily managed through the network license manager.
Technical support is usually provided within a day. Bugs and requests for improvements are handled promptly when possible, and when a maintenance release is available, we are notified automatically as to whether or not the modification has already been implemented.
We work primarily with typical timing or XY diagrams. We also frequently use FPScript for preparing statistics or automating recurring analyses. Depending on the application, we also work with the additional signal analysis, spectral analysis, filter, statistics, counting procedures and acoustics modules. Our usual formats .bin and .mdf as well as other formats are supported by FlexPro as standard. In addition to the actual measurement channels, FlexPro can also import the measurement comments, individual channel properties and special test parameters, which is also very useful.  For specific measuring devices that export measurement data in ASCII, it is possible to create custom import templates using the Text Data Import Wizard."
