FlexPro meets Claude: the FlexPro Documentation MCP Server is officially available
Anyone who uses an AI assistant for FPScript formulas or data analysis knows the problem: the answers sound convincing, but function names are wrong or menu commands do not exist. The reason is simple – general AI models know specialist software only superficially.
The FlexPro Documentation MCP Server closes this gap. It is now officially listed in Claude’s connector directory and can be added in a few clicks.
What the connector does
Via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the server gives Claude or other AI Assistants access to Weisang’s FlexPro knowledge. Ask in plain language, and the AI searches:
- the FlexPro Help, with concepts, how-tos and the FPScript language,
- the FPScript Function Reference with parameters and examples,
- A FAQ collection of real-world questions that the documentation covers only partly or not at all, such as installation, licensing or performance.
Because the server also provides the FPScript syntax rules, Claude writes formulas that follow the actual language. And because command and menu names come back in their official translation, every command Claude mentions can be found in your FlexPro interface – in English, German, French or any other supported language.
Privacy built in
The server has no access to FlexPro project databases and cannot modify any data. It only searches a static documentation repository maintained by Weisang and processes no customer or measurement data.
Getting started
- In Claude, open Settings > Connectors.
- Search for “FlexPro Documentation” and add it.
- Start asking, e.g. “Write an FPScript formula that counts all values above a threshold.”
Not just for Claude
The connector is free and needs no FlexPro licence. Maintenance and subscription customers benefit most: they work with the current FlexPro version the documentation describes, and can reach our support team directly when needed.
