Statistics

Function

Availability

Use

AbsoluteDeviationFromMean

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines the mean absolute deviation from the mean value of a data set. The displacements from the mean are determined for all values of the data set and the average is calculated from these.

AbsoluteDeviationFromMedian

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines the mean absolute deviation from the median of a data set. This is the average of the deviations from the median. The median is the value that lies exactly in the center of a data series after sorting. If the data set contains an even number of values, the average of the two center values is formed.

ANOVA

Option Statistics

Carries out a Fisher analysis of variance. You can either calculate an ANOVA table or perform an F-test. The F-test specifies whether the mean values of several samples are significantly different or not. The ANOVA table provides characteristic quantities for the analysis of variance.

BartlettTest

Option Statistics

Carries out a Bartlett variance test.

BoxPlot

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines the statistical parameters for displaying a box plot.

ChiSquareTest

Option Statistics

Carries out a Chi-square goodness-of-fit test. The test checks whether the sample passed corresponds to the normal or exponential distribution specified.

CoefficientOfVariation

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the absolute or relative coefficient of variation for a data set.

ConfidenceInterval

Option Statistics

Calculates a confidence interval for the mean or the variance of the normal distribution to which the specified sample belongs.

Correlation

Option Statistics

Determines the correlation matrix of a data matrix or the correlation of two data sets.

Covariance

Option Statistics

Determines the covariance matrix of a data matrix or the covariance between two data sets.

CrestFactor

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the crest factor for a data set.

DavidHartleyPearsonTest

Option Statistics

Carries out a David-Hartley-Pearson outlier test. The test checks whether the highest or lowest value in the normally distributed sample passed belongs to the sample or not.

Distribution

Option Statistics

Calculates various distribution or density functions.

EmpiricalDistribution

Option Statistics

Calculates the empirical distribution function (for unclassified data).

GrubbsBeckTest

Option Statistics

Carries out a Grubbs-Beck outlier test. The test checks whether the highest and/or lowest value in the sample belongs to the sample or not.

KolmogorovSmirnovTest

Option Statistics

Carries out a Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit test. The test checks whether the sample passed corresponds to the normal or exponential distribution specified.

Kurtosis

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the kurtosis or excess for a data set.

Maximum

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines individual, floating or block maxima for a data set.

Mean

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines individual, floating or block mean values for a data set.

MeanSquaredError

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the mean squared error for a data set.

Minimum

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines individual, floating and block minima for a data set.

Quantile

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines individual, floating or block mean quantiles for a data set.

Range

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines global, floating or block ranges, i.e. differences between maxima and minima for a data set.

Skewness

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the skewness for a data set.

StandardDeviation

Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the standard deviation for a data set.

Sum

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Calculates the sum or square sum of all values in a data set.

Variance

View, Basic, Professional, Developer Suite

Determines individual, moving or block variances for a data set.

WeibullFit

Option Statistics

Performs a curve fit using the two-parameter Weibull distribution (lifetime analysis).
