System Requirements for FlexPro

To run FlexPro 2019, the system must meet the following requirements: Windows Server 2008 R2 through Windows Server 2019 or Windows 7 through Windows 10 operating system with at least 2 GB of RAM and 1 GB of hard disk space.

For users working with very large amounts of data, such as for spectral analysis of acceleration signals, we recommend using FlexPro Professional or Developer Suite Edition on a quad-core or multicore system with 8 GB of RAM, the Windows 10 64-bit operating system and a solid state drive (SSD).

Interactive Installation of FlexPro

Before installation, use Windows Update to make sure that your operating system includes the latest updates. FlexPro is installed by using the right installation program, such as FlexPro-2019-x64.exe for the 64-bit version of FlexPro 2019. After starting the installation program, a dialog box appears in which you can select the installation language. Regardless of the language you select, the installation program still installs all display and help languages available in FlexPro. We recommend selecting Complete for the type of setup.

If you want to run FlexPro with a network license and you know the host name of the license server on the LAN, you can enter it during installation as follows:

FlexPro-2019-x64.exe /V“RLM_LICENSE_SERVER_NAME=<Host> RLM_LICENSE_SERVER_PORT=<Port>“

with <Host> as the host name or IP address of the license server and <Port> as the port number.

If you omit RLM_LICENSE_SERVER_PORT=<Port>, the port used will be the default port 5053.

FlexPro Silent Setup

Execute the following command lines in an Admin console window:

msiexec /i "FlexPro-2019-<Bitness>.msi" /quiet

with <Bitness> being x64 or x86 for 64-bit or 32-bit.

You also have the option of entering the license server connection information as follows:

msiexec /i "FlexPro-2019-<Bitness>.msi" RLM_LICENSE_SERVER_NAME=<Host> RLM_LICENSE_SERVER_PORT=<Port> /quiet

The silent installation setup type is the default Complete and Windows User is the user name.

Licenses

During setup, license information is not requested and no license is installed.

Activation of the single user license currently takes place on the computer when the application is first launched.

As an alternative to the procedure above for network licenses, you can also specify the host name and port of the license server in the Windows Registry:

If you want to install the 32-Bit version of FlexPro on the 64-Bit version of Windows, you will need to apply the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Weisang\FlexPro\12\License\RLMLicenseServerName (REG_SZ) = host name or IP address of computer that is running the RLM.exe.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Weisang\FlexPro\12\License\RLMLicenseServerPort (REG_DWORD) = Port, usually 5053.

Otherwise:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Weisang\FlexPro\12\License\RLMLicenseServerName (REG_SZ)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Weisang\FlexPro\12\License\RLMLicenseServerPort (REG_DWORD)

The above keys are valid for all of the computer’s users. If the settings are only to be made for the current user, you will need to replace HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE with HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
