Acceleration Hyperbola Family Analysis Object (Order Tracking Option – deprecated and removed from Gallery in FlexPro 2021)

14.01.2021

Note: In FlexPro 2021, order tracking was changed to a completely new procedure. This analysis object was replaced in the process, but it is still available in FlexPro so that your existing evaluations will work without any changes. The deprecated order tracking analysis objects which were removed from the gallery with FlexPro 2021 can still be viewed in the Gallery via File > Options > System Settings. Activate this option if you want to continue using the deprecated analysis objects in new projects (not recommended).

Using this analysis object, you can calculate an acceleration hyperbola family, which you can display in a 3D waterfall diagram, for instance.

The acceleration hyperbolas are used for displaying order tracking of torsion oscillations and shows there loci of constant acceleration above the frequency. For the result of the order tracking displayed together with the hyperbola family, the option Y = amplitude, X = frequency (order * speed), Z = order must be set.

You can specify the acceleration range and the number of hyperbolas. In addition, you can limit the hyperbolas to the top and to the right by specifying the values for a maximum angle and maximum frequency. Using a scaling factor you can convert the unit of the result, e.g. from [rad] to [mrad].

The result is a signal series with a two-dimensional X component that contains the hyperbola family. The X component of the hyperbolas is decreasing, i.e. the hyperbolas are drawn from right to left, and the Z component contains the acceleration for each hyperbola. This means that every hyperbola can be labeled with its acceleration value. To do this, combine the display forms Connection Line and Data Labeling in the curve, which represents the hyperbola family in the 3D waterfall diagram. For Data Labeling attributes, select an Angle of , for the Position select Center right, for the Spacing specify a value which is bigger than the number of values of the hyperbolas, and as the Text type %<ZValue>.
