FlexPro 7.0.11 Maintenance Update Released

Performance is primary focus of this first maintenance update since FlexPro 7 was released in August 2005. Now it is much easier to zoom and scroll through large data sets. FlexPro 7.0.11 is also significantly faster at plotting large 3D data sets as waterfall or contour graphs. Presentations that previously took several minutes to complete are now finished in a few seconds.

In the area of data analysis, throughput has been improved for some functions for event isolation as well as for time-frequency spectral analysis.

The import filters for TEAC TAFFmat, Graphtec WR/GL, BMC NextView and IMC FAMOS have been reworked and now support new devices and formats. FlexPro can now also import the TiePie multichannel TPS format.

The new version is available immediately for all new orders. FlexPro users with a maintenance agreement will be sent the new FlexPro version on CD free of charge.

FlexPro 7 is Released!

Weisang has released the new version 7 of its analysis and presentation software known as FlexPro simultaneously in German and English. The Japanese and Italian versions will be released in the fourth quarter of 2005.

The most obvious new feature in FlexPro 7 is its redesigned user interface. Docked windows that can be displayed or hidden, as well as tabbed document windows make the interface very easy to view and present an excellent ergonomic design. The new Properties window displays the properties of selected objects in a list. Now it is no longer necessary to open dialog boxes in order to edit several objects simultaneously.

But much has changed even below the surface.  In addition to the extensive expansion of FlexPro's FPScript analysis language, FPScript can now also access all object properties in the FlexPro project database. In previous versions, this was only possible using the built-in Visual Basic. Using embedded FPScript expressions, data and other properties can be accessed for output in any text, such as axis or legend labels.

FlexPro's updated Diagram Wizard also uses FPScript for tasks such as converting data to decibels before presentation. In addition, polar graphs and pie charts are now available.

The new non-linear curve fitting analysis object allows you to fit mathematical models to given data. The procedure returns the optimized model parameters as well as a variety of statistical results. You now have the option to choose from over 160 models as well as to program your own models in FPScript.

The data throughput of FlexPro's object database has been increased by using the most current caching and overly technologies. For users, this means faster calculations while using less memory.

Richard Weisang, Managing Director of Weisang GmbH & Co. KG, notes: "FlexPro 7 is the most extensive update since FlexPro was introduced over ten years ago. The variety of interfaces as well as the simple ease of use coupled with the highest performance make FlexPro the ideal product for technical experts, engineers, scientists and anyone who works with technical data."

The Service Pack 6 for FlexPro 6 is available to download

It will update the versions from 6.0.33 to 6.0.34 to the current version 6.0.35.

Service Pack 6 offers several improvements and enhancements in the areas of signal analysis, statistics and data import. FlexPro now supports three new import formats: Universal File Format Type 58, IMC FAMOS and Bosch MDF (Measured Data Format). With the IMC FAMOS import filter, you can not only import data into FlexPro from the FAMOS analysis software, but also data from many of IMC measurement systems such as the µMusycs system. The Bosch MDF format is also used by several products such as the software INCA from ETAS and Vector's CANape software.

LDS-Nicolet decides for FlexPro

St. Ingbert, 5th March 2004: As a partner of many years standing of Weisang GmbH & Co. KG, LDS-Nicolet (formerly Gould-Nicolet) used to offer a product called imPRESSion to its customers world-wide. This was an OEM-version of FlexPro 6 with some extra functions developed particularly for LDS-Nicolet. With immediate effect, the company will now be supplying the fully compatible FlexPro 6 instead of imPRESSion.

Richard Weisang, Chief Executive and founder of Weisang, states: "We welcome LDS-Nicolet`s decision in favour of FlexPro. LDS-Nicolet sales will benefit from the fact that FlexPro is so well know, while the FlexPro brand will be further strengthened by the worldwide presence of LDS-Nicolet."

Klaus Lang, Worldwide Product Marketing Manager, at LDS, had this to say: "Apart from synergies in the areas of marketing and support, this decision means that all the new features of FlexPro, such as the new analysis options for spectral analysis and acoustics, will be available to our customers immediately. Conversion into an OEM product always means that such new features will be delayed by several months."

Weisang's renowned data analysis package FlexPro is now in its 6th release and is used worldwide by thousands of engineers, scientists, and laboratory test technicians in many of the world's leading corporations, national laboratories, and academic institutions. With its state-of-the-art user interface and connectivity to data acquisition systems, FlexPro uniquely combines ease of use with high performance.
